TRUDI - Principal
Trudi has been teaching dance in Sydney for over 30 years. She has performed in the musicals Annie, 42nd Street, Anything Goes and The Vegas Travel Show whilst teaching at The Dance Centre and Wellington Street.
Upon completing her Bachelor of Education, she taught Dance and Drama in the UK and completed a Higher Diploma in Creative and Media studies.
Trudi has developed and facilitated Dance and Drama programs for numerous schools in Sydney and has directed and choreographed many musicals.
AMBER - Head of Operations
Amber has been dancing since the age of three where her love for dance began. In 2019 she was accepted into Ettingshausens PRO’ Full-time course where she received a Certificate IV in Dance. Amber has performed at many events including the Ronald McDonald House Charity Ball and has appeared on The Voice AUS and Dancing with the Stars. Amber is a passionate choreographer, teacher and mentor to all of her students.
Alana started dancing at the age of 4, later graduating from Newtown HSPA. Alana has been teaching ballet, tap and jazz for a number of years and has extensive training in the Royal Academy of Dance ballet syllabus. Starting out as an assistant teacher at The Dance Centre, Alana has also taught at School of Arts Academy of Dance and Dance Chora for a number of years. Alana is passionate about building a strong technical foundation and nurturing the growth in her ballet students.
After 12 years of dance training, Carly successfully auditioned for Brent Street full time performing arts course. In 2003 she was accepted by Detour management and began dancing professionally.
Carly’s experience over the years includes: Opening of Fox studios, Performing at Disneyland L.A, Opening of the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Dance contracts in Osaka Japan, Spain, Macau & Beijing China.
With over 20 yrs of teaching experience Carly is a successful teacher, mentor and choreographer.
Miss Kelly graduated from the Australian International Ballet Academy & The McDonald College before completing her Dip. in Dance: Elite Performance. After performing as a guest soloist for National Capital Ballet School in Canberra, she hung up her pointe shoes & became registered with The RAD. She has completed 3 yoga teaching qualifications & 3 years of her BA of Chiropractic Science at Macquarie University. Her knowledge of anatomy & technique creates a nurturing & inspiring setting in class.
Melody started dancing at the age of three and instantly fell in love with her craft. As the years went by
her passion for dance became stronger. In 2019 she completed a year of full-time dance at
Ettingshauens Pro and gained a Certificate IV in Dance. She is now signed with Focus Talent
Management and is continuing to grow as a professional dancer. Melody is a passionate and dedicated teacher who loves to pass on her vast knowledge to her students.
Mia has been dancing since the age of 3 where her passion for dance grew and her talent shone through in her dance training. Mia has competitively danced around Australia and is now continuing to share her passion as a dedicated teacher and mentor for the Dance Chora students. Mia is currently studying Dance as her HSC major project to deepen her knowledge and technique as a dancer.
Sarah has performed in multiple music videos for Australian artists including Brad Cox & Emma Louise. After completing her HSC with an ATAR of 95.35, Sarah pursued her dance career. She completed her Cert IV in Dance at Ettingshausens Pro in 2019 where she enhanced her ability and professionalism. Sarah has appeared on the TV shows Kitchen Whiz, Channel 9 Telethon, Dance Boss, Dancing With The Stars, The Voice & The Real Full Monty 2020 providing her with a wealth of showbiz knowledge.
Nicole received her early training with Tessa Maunder OAM and Marie Walton-Mahon ARAD. During this time she completed all of the RAD Examinations with High Distinctions and won many prestigious Ballet awards. Nicole attained Registered Teachers Status with the RAD, which allowed her the opportunity to teach and adjudicate at reputable schools and comps in AUS. Nicole has furthered her training & is now a certified teacher in Mat and Reformer Pilates and is a highly sought after dance educator.
Kaitlin started her dance career from a very young age & has enjoyed great success winning eliminations, eisteddfods & Ballet Awards. She has starred as a featured dancer in FAME the musical & performed in the Dream Creative under the guidance of Marko Panzic. Kaitlin is a stand out performer with a passion for dance. She has fostered great relationships with her students & has a genuine love of teaching. Kaitlin received her Cert IV in Dance at Etts Pro & is currently signed with Dargie Agency.
Taylor started her dance training at age 5 finding her love for performing. She attended NHSPA & was part of the dance company where she performed in festivals & conventions in China, NYC, LA, Pittsburgh & Dallas. She received a callback for her major dance composition in the HSC. In 2019 Taylor commenced FT Cert IV in dance at VN & worked on The Voice, X-Factor & DWTS. Taylor danced professionally on Norwegian Cruiselines travelling extensively, before joining the team to mentor students at DC.
Holly was enrolled in her first dance class at the age of 3, when she demonstrated her early love of movement through music. Holly continued to flourish in Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and RAD Ballet. One of her passions is performing on stage & Holly has competed successfully in many solo, duo and group eisteddfods & competitions. In addition to performing, Holly has taught dance previously & enjoys it tremendously. She is excited to be part of the team at DC.
